Walls by Segment

  1. Access the Wall Tool: Navigate to the Architecture tab on the ribbon bar and select the "Wall" tool.
  2. Choose Wall Type: Select the desired wall type from the Type Selector within the Wall tool.
  3. Select "Place by Segment": Locate the "Placement" panel and choose "Place by Segment".
  4. Select Segment: Hover over an existing wall segment in the canvas. TAB to cycle through different segments, including those including or ignoring columns.
  5. Place the Wall: Click the highlighted segment in the canvas to place the new wall adjacent to it.

This method allows you to easily add new walls, particularly finish walls, in front of existing walls, taking into account openings like doors and windows. You can also join the new wall to the existing wall using the join tool.

Walls by Room

Pick a closed area formed by room-bounding walls and columns, enabling new walls within this room to be created with one click.

Note: You can only pick room-bounding walls and room-bounding linked models that are cut by the associated level of the current plan view.
