Inventor Diameter and Radius Dimensions

By default, when dimensioning arcs or circles in Inventor, the typical result is for a circle to get a Diameter dimension and an arc to get a Radius dimension. This is great and usually what is required.

What some people often forget about is that the right-mouse-button click is your friend when doing this. For example, if you are dimensioning a circle and want a Radius dimension instead of a Diameter quickly, simply right-click and select the Radius option.

You can do the same with arcs and get the default Radius dimension to give you a Diameter.

Don’t forget too that the right-click is handy when doing Linear dimensions! There is a right-click option there to give you an Aligned dimension.

Easy tip and definitely worth remembering. This functionality is also in the Drawing Environment in Inventor.
