There are cases when you need to actually model a 3D diagonal cross-break (sheet metal stiffening bending) in your sheetmetal project in Autodesk Inventor, rather than just indicate it with a cosmetic sketch and with manufacturing instructions (for forming, press-breaks) in the sheet metal unfold. For these cases, you can use a punch tool (.IDE) or iFeature in Autodesk Inventor.

There are several examples of the construction of diagonal cross breaks (press break creases, cross bends) for stiffening rectangular sheet metal, including asymmetrical ones, in our CAD block library. There were uploaded by users like you, or by ARKANCE consultants. You can download them and get inspired.
