In this blog, we are showing the assembly simplification tools in Inventor. These tools are used for simplifying assemblies and creating part files from them. The individua tools used in the video are: Simplify, Simplify View, Edit View, Define Envelopes and Create Simplified Parts.
Model simplification is required by many designers as a method of large assembly management. This can include incorporating placeholder geometry into an assembly or as a technique to simplify proprietary data going to an external vendor.
What we will be taking a look at during the session is using the shrink-wrap command, simplify view, defining envelopes, creating a simplified part. And in the next blog, we'll also be taking a look at some of the functionality that is available with model states as well.
I hope you find this blog useful.
