Assembly Simplification in Inventor using Model States

In this blog, we are going to be taking a look at simplification of models using model states in Inventor.

Open your assembly and go to Simplify in the Assembly tab, the same way as in the previous blog post.

What we will do here is go over to the model browser where it shows model states. Now as standard, your model will always be activated with the primary model state. But what we can right click on the model state Primary and go new model state and go new simplified part.

The simplified part file can then be used and exported out to a neutral format or to a Revit format, for example.
