Inventor 2015 What’s New – Joint – Offset Origin

Hello again. In my last blog we created a joint by inferring a ‘virtual’ midpoint between two faces. But what I’m not after a midpoint? There is an alternative in Inventor 2015. We can dynamically drag the connection joint origin in both planes (X and Y) to create offset parameters, and achieve the exact joint positioning we need. The offset parameters can even be renamed as part of the single joint operation. Very tasty. Check out the video below:
