The Cadline Localiser is a unique Cadline application that offers enhanced functionality & increased content to the functionality of AutoCAD Electrical. The application is available to Cadline subscribers. The following list is a general overview of its additional functionality and content:
Libraries:
- IEC Libraries rectified specifically “Too many NO contacts” error caused by incorrect symbols in the default libraries
- IEC2
- IEC4
- IEC-60617
- An International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC61082) library is included (not in the default install)
- A metric Joint Industrial Council (JIC_mm) library (not in the default install) enabling the user to hot-swap from IEC > JIC and vice-versa
- A metric National Fire Protection Association (NFPA_mm) library (not in the default install) enabling the user to hot-swap from IEC > NFPA and vice-versa
- A metric process and instrumentation diagram library (PID_mm) is included (not in the default install)
- Extra content is added to the hydraulics library (HYD_mm) library.
- An updated hydraulics menu file is included
- Extra content to the metric panel (panel_mm) library is included. Over 1500 extra footprints mainly in 3D & categorised according to product type.

- Nordic source/destination style wire cross referencing supported in IEC61082, IEC2, IEC4, IEC-60617, JIC_mm, NFPA_mm, PNEU_mm, HYD_mm & PID_mm libraries
- Pneumatic / Hydraulic / PID ribbon allowing the pneumatic / hydraulic / PID engineer to quickly use AutoCAD Electrical without needing to learn the electrical functionality. A unique Cadline exclusive training course is also available for Fluid Design
Catalogues:
- 12 additional major manufacturers data are included allowing the user to pick and choose the additional content install
- DIN rail command in metric instead of imperial includes all of the European sizes for DIN rail and for trunking/ducting with over 40 additional standard European sizes
- Electrical standards database is rectified to fully support IEC standards
Project Templates:
- Project templates for IEC61082, IEC60204, IEC61346 and ISO1215 (not in the default install)
Functionality:
- SaveAll - saves only the drawings within the active project
- CloseAll - closes only the drawings within the active project
- CleanAll - Tidies up the drawings of the active project
- Snap - Pre-defined snap values allowing the user to quickly change the snap value
- Attribute Visibility - Attribute visibility commands to quickly toggle on/off the manufacturer, catalogue, terminal strip prefix, installation and location attributes
- Trunking - Dynamic 3D trunking allowing the user to stretch and resize once placed
- DIN Rail - Dynamic 3D DIN rail allowing the user to stretch and resize once placed for both 35/7.5, 35/15 & G-rail
- Motor2Cable - Copies the motor TAG to the connecting cable
- IEC61082 - Toggles the “common” hinges in the IEC61082 library between the IEC style and the Nordic style
- LastWireNo - Lists either the last wire number used within the active drawing or the active project
- KKS Wire No - Defines an individual wire number in the KKS format or can be run drawing wide
- WireNoPrefixRemoval - Removes the IEC prefixes from the wire numbers in Form4 type cubicles
- CopyTerm2Wire - Copies the terminal number to the connecting wire
- PromiseXREF - Maintains the cross referencing format of PromisE during the conversion of PromisE > v5* projects
- PromiseScheme - Converts an individual PromisE schematic symbol and converts automatically to an AutoCAD Electrical intelligent symbol. This command can also be run on an entire library.
- PromisePanel - Converts an individual PromisE panel symbol and converts automatically to an AutoCAD Electrical intelligent symbol. This command can also be run on an entire library.
- PromiseCat - Imports the PromisE article.mdb file into AutoCAD Electrical parts database
- PromiseV8i - Converts an individual PromisE V8i schematic symbol and converts automatically to an AutoCAD Electrical intelligent symbol. This command can also be run on an entire library.
- EDscheme - Converts an individual ED schematic symbol and converts automatically to an AutoCAD Electrical intelligent symbol. This command can also be run on an entire library.
- Cadline - Quick access to the Cadline Community
- LogCall - Log a support query with Cadline
- TraceParts - Quick access to Traceparts content allowing the user access to over 100+ million 2D/3D footprints
- WireFill - The wire fill calculator calculates the % fill of trunking / ducting
Pneumatic / Hydraulic / PID ribbon with core functionality specific to the pneumatic / hydraulic / PID engineer allowing the user to quickly use AutoCAD Electrical without needing to learn the electrical functionality. A unique Cadline exclusive training course is also available for Fluid Design
Miscellaneous / Improvements:
- DIN47100 cable core colours are supported
- Nordic source/destination style wire cross referencing supported in metric libraries
- Weblink field available in all reports such as bills of materials, parts list etc. To enable automatic listing of OEM technical documentation
- KKS wire numbering command changed so that the format of connection information changed from “TAG-PIN” to “TAG:PIN”. This however can now be changed by the user if required. Contact support if changes are required.
- PromisE V8i symbol conversion redefined. Provides better translation of PromisE v8i symbols to AutoCAD Electrical.
- New Wire Fill Calculator built into the Cadline Community panel
- Icons support both “dark” and “light” themes and 2017 requirements
- Software supports both AutoCAD Electrical 2016 & 2017
