Vault – Cannot find Data Management services – Windows 10 update

For those hosting their Autodesk Vault Basic Server operation on a Windows 10 operating system and have recently received an update to the OS, may have received the following message when trying to log into Vault:

“… could not find data management services on (server name) …”

The problem is easily fixed by running a repair on the ADMS server console.  Navigate to `Programs and Feature’ via Control Panel, then select `Uninstall / Change’ (you will need the Autodesk Vault server media handy); from the media window, select and run the repair.

...also just a reminder that although Vault Workgroup or Vault Professional may run on a Windows 10 platform, it is ONLY Vault Basic that is supported by Autodesk for this Operating System.  For more information, please refer to the following link:
