Vault Data Standard 2017 - Save copy as different file type

With the release of Vault 2017 comes an update to data standards. There is now a ‘Save Copy As’ command available directly from the Data Standards tab Inside Inventor. This is not available in AutoCAD.

This functionality actually allows you to save as a different file type as well as enforcing your data standards rules. Once saved, a copy of the file is put directly into your Vault. With .ipt & .iam files you get the option to save as either a .step or .jt file and with .dwg & . idw files you get the option for pdf & dwf. The below video shows me using this function to save a part file as a step file and a dwg as a pdf.
