Vault - File Shortcuts

Autodesk Vault is the perfect tool to manage all your design data. Files are stored in a familiar folder structure and can be moved from folder to folder as needed.

Vault also has the ability to provide file shortcuts between folders.

In the example image PDF files are stored in a specific PDF folder.

If there is a need to see a specific PDF file within another folder, right click a file and drag the file to the required location. On release of the mouse click the option to ‘Create Link’ is provided.

A file shortcut link is created.

History, Uses and Where used information is also present. The shortcut can be deleted without affecting the original parent file.
