In AutoCAD Electrical 2026, you can now use project-wide or drawing-wide wire number updates to update the annotations in panel footprints and terminal block representations, including graphical terminal strips, tabular terminal strips, and jumper charts. This enhancement ensures that your wire number annotations in panel footprints and terminal blocks are consistently updated along with the rest of the project or drawing.
Right click over the current activated project > select Properties
Select Wire Numbers tab
Select the checkbox Enable annotations update with project-wide / drawing-wide wire number update.
Select
You can select from a pre-defined list or select a customised format (refer to the help on Replaceable Parameters for the available options).
Select
Select to accept the changes
When a project-wide or drawing-wide automatic wire numbers or a project-wide update is performed and where wire numbers are updated, the wire annotation of footprints or wiring diagrams will be updated to ensure consistency of information.
e.g.
Only panel footprints which already have annotation, are updated according to the selected format defined in the option Panel Configuration, during project-wide or drawing-wide wire number update.
